Dr Jonathan Boyd, Executive Director of the Institute for Jewish Policy Research gave a speech to an event in Athens which was convened by the International Holocaust Rememberence Alliance.
Dr Boyd commended the UK approach to antisemitism commenting on;
“the extensive efforts that have been made by the UK government, the police, educational institutions, sporting organisations, civil society and Jewish community organisations to try to tackle the problem.”
However he went on to outline that there is still much work to do, particualrly in light of the record crimes reported in 2014 saying;
"So if we want to tackle antisemitism, if we want to tackle racism in general, we have to work to create and sustain a context in which it is given no oxygen whatsoever, and where we maintain a constant watchful eye for any signs of renewal.”
